Das Team des CSD Weimar lädt Euch herzlich zu einem Kennenlernabend am Samstag, 9. Dezember, 16–20 Uhr, ins Mascha Weimar (Schützengasse 2, 99423 Weimar) ein.
Lernt neue Menschen kennen und nutzt gleichzeitig die Chance, euren CSD Weimar mitzugestalten. Gemeinsam engagieren wir uns für #Vielfalt, #Akzeptanz und #Community.
Das erwartet Euch:
🎬 Kino: Wir starten entspannt mit dem Film "Handsome Devil"
Das neue Schuljahr hat eben erst begonnen, aber Ned hätte nichts dagegen, wenn es direkt wieder zu Ende wäre. Als eher schmächtiger und melancholischer Typ passt er so gar nicht ins robuste Männerbild seiner Schule, in der alle anderen Jungs verrückt nach Rugby sind. Und jetzt soll er sein Zimmer auch noch mit Neuankömmling und Sport-Crack Conor teilen! Die beiden können sich zunächst überhaupt nicht ausstehen – bis ihr unkonventioneller Englischlehrer Mr. Sherry sie dazu verdonnert, bei einem Musikwettbewerb mitzumachen. Bald machen Gerüchte die Runde, Ned und Conor würden nicht nur zusammen Musik machen. Vor dem großen Rugby-Finale muss Conor entscheiden, was für eine Art Mann er sein will …
In der Tradition von „Club der toten Dichter“ variiert Regisseur John Butler smart und wendungsreich die Figurentypen des Internatsfilms: Der „Nerd“ Ned und der „weise Lehrer“ Mr. Shelby zeigen dem „Jock“ Conor, dass es in einer engstirnigen und homophoben Welt gar nicht so schlimm ist, ein Außenseiter zu sein. Ein bewegender Coming-of-Age-Film über die Suche nach der eigenen Stimme – mit großartigen Jungschauspielern und einem hinreißendem Soundtrack.

🎬 Cinema: Fist we will watch the movie "Handsome Devil"
The new school year has only just begun, but Ned wouldn't mind if it ended straight away. As a rather slight and melancholy guy, he doesn't fit in at all with the robust male image of his school, where all the other boys are crazy about rugby. And now he has to share his room with newcomer and sports crack Conor! The two can't stand each other at first - until their unconventional English teacher Mr. Sherry forces them to take part in a music competition. Soon rumors are doing the rounds that Ned and Conor aren't just making music together. Before the big rugby final, Conor has to decide what kind of man he wants to be ...
In the tradition of "Dead Poets' Club", director John Butler smartly varies the character types of the boarding school film with a lot of twists and turns: "nerd" Ned and "wise teacher" Mr. Shelby show "jock" Conor that being an outsider isn't so bad in a narrow-minded and homophobic world. A moving coming-of-age film about the search for one's own voice - with great young actors and a captivating soundtrack.
